The exclusive Supersonic now has a reversible ladder, you can build it on either the left or right hand-side. The drawers are included, mattress is optional. This has remained one of our most popular Sleepland double bunk beds over the last few years. We changed the ladder design back in 2018 so that it is now reversible. The ladder is now curvier and it has triangular instill on the side of the ladder (where the top and bottom bunk meet). We needed to change the design slightly when we made it reversible, to ensure it met and passed all safety standards, as gaps need to be a certain diameter, adding the instill not only looks nice, more importantly it ensures maximum safety for your children. The top bunk is a 3ft single and the lower bunk a full size 4ft6 double. They can also be separated as shown in the photos, if you ever need to use as two bedsteads. There are pieces on the lower bunk so that the drawers align nicely, also stops drawers being pushed under the frame. There are 15, perfectly spaced chunky slatted solid wood slats for great mattress support. The lower bunk has central support legs for extra stability. The pine used is a premium species and top quality, it isn’t a “cheap” value type of pine. It is hand finished to a beautiful smooth surface ready for the light oak lacquer with a slight sheen. The frame is not only bolted on our Supersonic, the side rails fit into grooves within the headboard and foot-board which is an extra feature for super stability added for this design. The frame is suitable for adults and children, the ladder has been tested for regular use for persons up to 80kg.
