Heavy Duty Solid Pine Beds. Made in UK, no cheap imports here. Tested to BS Standards. Can be used by Adults. Everest 3ft Single HEAVY DUTY Solid Pine HIGH Bunk Bed. HEAVY DUTY solid pine bunk beds. Each bunk has a strong centre rail for added support. Manufactured using sustained, solid scandanavian pine wood. The siderails are strengthend to take additional weight, the bunk bed has been tested to take two adults to a max weight of 18 stone (114kg) each. To enable maxium strength the beds do not seperate, this makes for very sturdy bunkbed. The base consists of solid timber slats. The ladder steps are flat, these are easier on the feet. This bed is manufactured to British Standard&#######xA0; EN747: 2012 Part 1&2. Includes a pull- out trundle guest bed, ideal for that unexpected guest. The trundle bed is heavy duty so does not lift up but simply pulls out. (The gap underneath allows for a mattress to a maxium of 20cm depth). External Dimensions: W98cm L202cm H185cm Gap between both bunks (excluding mattress): 108cm Clearance Height Under Bed: 34cm Bed Accepts a Mattress Size: 90cm by 190cm. Maxium Depth of mattress: 20cm. About our Timber we Use. All our timber is sourced from sustained forests. The timber heat treated(kilned) to remove all infestation. No added chemicals or treatments are applied to our timber. During our processes the timber is sawn and sanded. This means, just like a natural skiting board you can either use as it is or easily apply your own coloured finish. Why are the beds not painted? We previously supplied, like everyone else on the internet cheap imported beds. These came complete with a painted finish. The problem is that, just like a skirting board the paint chips and flakes off, making for an unsightly finish in a couple of months. Most customers like the natural look, the product can be used with no further treatment. However if you want to apply a finish it is super easy peasy. Firstly we strongly advise you assemble the product first, this ensures you are happy with the quaility and makes it easier to apply the finish. Our Commitment to Environmental Sustainability. We have a passion for sustainability, this stretches from the pine we source to our packaging. We even use staple less staplers in the office! &#######xA0; For this reason, we only&#######xA0;source our solid timber from FSC and PEFC approved forests. We continually strive for environmental sustainability. No Cheap Plywood Base Slats Here. Solid slats are more durable and provide greater levels of support than sprung slats, which are often made using cheap woods and finishes like Veneers, Laminate and MDF. The thickness of these materials are less than half the density of our solid slats. A common misunderstanding is that the movement of sprung slats provide support. The opposite is true as continuous movement weakens the frame and wears down your mattress. Providing uneven support for your body that significantly deteriorates over time. Never settle for less than solid slats for your bed. All our base slats are SOLID PINE, extra wide (70mm) and extra thick (19mm). About our Timber we Use. All our timber is sourced from sustained forests. The timber heat treated(kilned) to remove all infestation. No added chemicals or treatments are applied to our timber. During our processes the timber is sawn and sanded. This means, just like a natural skiting board you can either use as it is or easily apply your own coloured finish. Why are the beds not painted? We previously supplied, like everyone else on the internet cheap imported beds. These came complete with a painted finish. The problem is that, just like a skirting board the paint chips and flakes off, making for an unsightly finish in a couple of months. Most customers like the natural look, the product can be used with no further treatment. However if you want to apply a finish it is super easy peasy. The opposite is true as continuous movement weakens the frame and wears down your mattress. Providing uneven support for your body that significantly deteriorates over time. Never settle for less than solid slats for your bed. All our base slats are SOLID PINE, extra wide (70mm) and extra thick (19mm).
