The siderails are strengthend to take additional weight, the bunk bed has been tested to take two adults to a max weight of 18 stone (114kg) each. To enable maxium strength the beds do not seperate, this makes for very sturdy bunkbed. The base consists of solid timber slats. The ladder steps are flat, these are easier on the feet. This bed is manufactured to British Standard&#######xA0; EN747: 2012 Part 1&2. Includes a pull- out trundle guest bed, ideal for that unexpected guest. The trundle bed is heavy duty so does not lift up but simply pulls out. (The gap underneath allows for a mattress to a maxium of 20cm depth). No added chemicals or treatments are applied to our timber. During our processes the timber is sawn and sanded. This means, just like a natural skiting board you can either use as it is or easily apply your own coloured finish. Why are the beds not painted? We previously supplied, like everyone else on the internet cheap imported beds. These came complete with a painted finish. The problem is that, just like a skirting board the paint chips and flakes off, making for an unsightly finish in a couple of months. Most customers like the natural look, the product can be used with no further treatment. However if you want to apply a finish it is super easy peasy. Firstly we strongly advise you assemble the product first, this ensures you are happy with the quaility and makes it easier to apply the finish. Our Commitment to Environmental Sustainability. The opposite is true as continuous movement weakens the frame and wears down your mattress. Providing uneven support for your body that significantly deteriorates over time. Aspace white bunk beds excellent condition, two mattresses, bunks or singles

Aspace white, timber, bunk beds. This is a great set of bunk beds. They are a standard UK single mattress size. They are in excellent condition. Having taken them apart today they basically look as they did the day they were assembled except for a couple of very minor songs which are not really noticeable unless youre looking for them. The paint is in really good condition, the top bunk has been slept on about twice and we always use good quality mattress protectors so the mattresses are also pretty much pristine. The beds can also be used as two singles with the taller headboard and lower footboard. Assembly is pretty easy. We took them apart in an hour or so and all you need is an allen key. All the hardware has been carefully bagged so re-assembly should be straight forward. Bed dimensions are shown in the Aspace image now shown as a photo. Purchaser must be able to collect in person. The beds have ben disassembled but obviously you will need a vehicle large enough to accommodate the mattresses.
